Problem: A Canadian developer of reading intervention software, AutoSkill International, was under new management. The new CEO decided that it was important to strengthen the company's marketing capabilities and strategies and to bring closer knowledge of the U.S. market to bear.
Solution: AutoSkill retained Glen McCandless, president of Focus Marketing, as part-time VP of Marketing. Over the course of a year and a half, Glen served as a member of the senior executive management team, participating actively at both a strategic and an operational level. He took the lead in driving the company's re-positioning and re-branding, in developing and managing the execution of a series of aggressive and very successful lead generation campaigns, and in building and mentoring an expanded marketing team.
